Stanley Cup visits 'Last Call With Carson Daly'
The Stanley Cup visited the set of "Last Call with Carson Daly" in New York on April 7 for the taping of the show, which will air on Friday, April 16. Daly presented the Cup to guest Elisha Cuthbert of the hit TV show "24" as a 21st birthday present.
Cuthbert, a native of Calgary and fan of her hometown Flames, was in New York City to promote her new movie "The Girl Next Door." When Daly heard the Cup was in town, he requested that the Cup make a surprise appearance during Cuthbert's interview.
Daly's other guest, actor Jason Bateman of the TV show "Arrested Development," who played hockey as a youngster, also was in awe of hockey's "holy grail." He and "Saturday Night Live" cast member Amy Poehler, who is married to Toronto native and Bateman's co-star, Will Arnett, shared hockey stories in the backstage while posing for photos with the Cup.
The segment will air on Friday, Apr. 16 on NBC at 1:35 am Eastern and Pacific. Check local listings for time and channel.
